The Problem Keeping You From Success

My goal with this blog has been to help people solve this problem. The problem is that you may not be willing to make the changes that will help improve your life. Part of this problem is the matter of beliefs. You may not believe in my revelations. You may not acknowledge to yourself that limiting beliefs in your subconscious mind are keeping you from having a better life. You may not be willing to implant empowering beliefs into your subconscious mind. You may not believe that you are entitled to a better life.

I had all of these same obstacles to success. I was only able to overcome them out of desperation to improve my life in retirement. So if you can’t overcome these obstacles, I understand. No one can force you to make the needed changes. It is all up to you.

I have attacked this problem from many sides in prior posts to this blog. I want this post to be my final attack on the problem. Then I will have occasional posts on current economic problems and how to reduce their impact on your life.

By reading about the powers of the subconscious mind, my magical revelations from the universe, and the struggles to improve my life, you may be encouraged to try improving your own life. But then again, maybe not.

In any case, I don’t see any point in continuing to rehash the same concepts repeatedly. So this will be my final post on this subject.

How the subconscious mind guides your life

The subconscious mind is that hidden portion of your consciousness that supports and guides your daily activities. It has to remain unseen, otherwise its tremendous power and massive activities would overwhelm your conscious mind.

The subconscious mind interprets your surroundings and beliefs, and thereby creates the reality that you experience in day-to-day living. For example, when you open your eyes in the morning, you can observe your surroundings with no apparent effort on your part. However, your subconscious mind performs a tremendous effort to accomplish this feat.

Imagine, if you can, that you are sitting in a dark room and are holding two bundles of electrical wires. These wires are the optic nerves that carry information from the optic cells at the back of your eyeballs. Using the electrical signals from your optic nerves (and the information stored in the vast memory of your subconscious mind), you must create the three-dimensional image of your surroundings that your conscious mind receives. You must also identify the objects contained in this image. Can you imagine yourself doing this? Probably not. However, this incredible miracle of seeing is just one of the many tasks that your subconscious mind must carry out every split second of every day.

Now let’s look at an even more important task that your subconscious mind must perform. It uses the assumptions, beliefs, expectations, experiences, habits, rules of thumb, and wisdom stored in its memory to determine how to perform your day-to-day activities. In addition, it must determine what activities you are capable of performing. Thus, when you are trying to accomplish something new, you may have feelings of fear or doubt about this new activity. These feelings are coming from your subconscious mind. You may have had some limiting beliefs stored away in your subconscious mind from childhood. These beliefs may make it difficult for you to attempt new activities.

On the other hand, if your subconscious mind is controlled by empowering beliefs, you may have feelings of confidence and courage when you attempt a new activity. These empowering beliefs may have developed during a supportive childhood or may have resulted from a series of your achievements earlier in life. It is also possible to directly implant empowering beliefs into your subconscious mind using affirmations, physical actions, or visualizations.

These empowering beliefs, and the skills and experiences you develop from completing new activities, allow you to enjoy a life of success. You may even be able to live the life of your dreams. It all depends on the choices you make and the actions you take.

Deciding what you want from life

Speaking of choices, one of the most important decisions is what to do with your life. This assumes of course that you want to take charge of your life and live life to the fullest. This decision can be difficult if you have too many limiting beliefs and lack useful skills and experiences. However, you can always overcome limiting beliefs and thereby open the door to developing new skills and experiences.

This is what I accomplished after retiring from a lackluster career in public accounting. However, I wouldn’t have been able to do this without the magical revelations that I received from the universe. These revelations showed me the way to take charge of my life and get the tough jobs done. I was able to make this change despite my lack of ambition and courage at that time.

My revelations from the universe

These revelations may shock you. They certainly shocked me when I first received them. But please don’t judge them until you read the topic that follows below them.

My magical revelations:

  • You are personally responsible for the successes and failures that you experience in life. You have the ability to improve things by taking charge of your life and assuming responsibility for your mistakes and problems.
  • Your subconscious mind uses the controlling beliefs that are hidden away inside it to help interpret your apparent situation in life and the resulting possibilities.
  • Beliefs are not the same as reality. The controlling beliefs in your subconscious mind may not reflect your actual situation in life and the resulting possibilities.
  • When limiting beliefs control your subconscious mind, you are discouraged from seeking and achieving success in life.
  • When empowering beliefs control your subconscious mind, you are encouraged to seek out challenges and achieve success in life.
  • You can change your beliefs to reflect your actual situation in life or your desires for a better life. Thus, you can use empowering beliefs to reduce the adverse effects of any limiting beliefs that are present in your subconscious mind.

I developed certain insights after discovering how my subconscious mind could help solve some of my problems. However, this happened before I received the preceding revelations. Thus, I did not make the most use out of this discovery.

Here are my insights:

  • Your subconscious mind contains a vast storehouse of knowledge and wisdom.
  • Your subconscious mind, properly trained, can help you solve problems, enhance creative work, and make difficult decisions.
  • Your subconscious mind has to be convinced you’re serious before it will help you.

I have accumulated practical knowledge from my life experiences and the self-help books I studied. This practical knowledge has helped me put my revelations and insights into action.

Here is my practical knowledge:

  • You may acquire limiting beliefs during your childhood and early adulthood. These beliefs result from the admonitions received from your parents and other people. These warnings were meant to protect you from harm.
  • Since your beliefs are hidden away inside your subconscious mind, you may not be aware of those limiting beliefs that can have an adverse effect on your life.
  • Various techniques are available to instill new beliefs into your subconscious mind. These include affirmations, physical actions, and visualizations.
  • After you overcome any limiting beliefs and/or other obstacles preventing you from starting or finishing a new or difficult project, you then must take constructive actions to complete the project.

Note: These constructive actions may include gathering any required information, making step-by-step plans, starting work on your goal, monitoring your results, correcting any problems, and reviewing the final results.

All of the above concepts, methods, and procedures are explained in my Magic Success Secrets ebook.

The problems with my revelations

The above revelations turned my life around after I finally accepted them and put them into practice. To test them out, I began to implant empowering beliefs into my subconscious mind using affirmations and visualizations. Then I began to strive for my goals. The more I was able to achieve the more I sought to increase my empowering beliefs. But first, I had to overcome the following problem.

It was difficult for me to understand and accept these revelations when I received them. These ideas seemed rather strange and somewhat threatening. Besides, who was I to receive revelations from the universe? I was a nobody, a failure. I was doomed to suffer through a meaningless retirement after my lackluster career had ended. At least, that’s what I thought to myself.

In fact, the only reason that I finally began to consider using these revelations was that they answered all my questions about the meaning of life and reality. They told me why I was such a failure. They told me why some people can be such a success.

Even then, I had to overcome one big problem. I didn’t want to change my beliefs. After all, without my beliefs I would not know what to do or what to think. My beliefs have guided me all my life.

Eventually I realized that my current beliefs haven’t helped me all that much. My results in the later years of my life had been nothing to brag about. Moreover, since my life was already at a low ebb, I didn’t have much to lose. So I decided to test these revelations.

Taking action and achieving my goals

I used affirmations and revelations to implant a few empowering beliefs into my subconscious mind. This helped me in pursuing my goals. But the big change happened one morning when I woke up and received a burst of energy from out of nowhere. This got me going and encouraged me to keep using affirmations and visualizations to increase my personal powers. After a certain point, I was able to keep working on my goals until I completed them.

My first two goals for retirement were to finish my website and publish my ebook. These goals were meant to develop my writing abilities and help other people have a better life. Now that I have completed these goals, my next challenge is to start an online business and start making some money for myself. You see, I inherited some money from my parents and lost it all. Now I want to learn to be responsible with money and start enjoying the finer things in life. So I need a fresh pot of gold to accomplish this.

Here’s hoping the readers of this blog can learn from my mistakes and successes. Then they can improve their own lives.

Keep Your Job by Becoming Indispensable

During these hard times, many people are worried about losing their jobs. The way to solve this problem is to become indispensable to your employer or supervisor. (Then they will have to worry about their own survival and they dare not fire you.) This posting shows you how to accomplish this feat.

Why you may need to make changes

If you want to become indispensable to your employer or supervisor, you may have to change some of your attitudes and habits. Many people resist making changes but in these times making needed changes is a survival tool.

You want your employer or supervisor to know that you are willing to make changes that will help the company survive these hard times. You want to become known as a company man or woman.

What changes are needed?

The best way to find out what changes you need to make is to ask your employer or supervisor. Here are some possible questions:

  • How can you become more valuable to them?
  • Do you need any training to improve your abilities?
  • What problems do they have that you can help solve?
  • Which of your attitudes and habits do they admire the most?
  • Which of your attitudes and habits do they admire the least?

After you have the answers to the above questions, you will know what changes you need to make to become indispensable.

How to make the needed changes

You developed your attitudes and habits over the years. You accepted certain beliefs, the beliefs determined your attitudes, your attitudes guided your actions, and repeated actions became habits. These beliefs, attitudes, and habits all reside in your subconscious mind. In order to change them you need to develop new beliefs. In order to accelerate this normal process these new beliefs should be empowering beliefs.

These empowering beliefs will override your existing beliefs, attitudes, and habits. They will change your attitudes and guide your actions. Eventually you will develop new habits. However, since these empowering beliefs will now guide your actions, the old habits will be ignored.

Using visualizations

You can implant new beliefs into your subconscious mind using visualizations. A visualization is a guided daydream. You decide what is to happen and then you see it played out inside your mind. As this daydream unfolds, allow yourself to feel the excitement and pleasure of your new capability. The repetition of this visualization, along with your intense feelings, helps condition your subconscious mind to accept this new reality.

You first need to create a scene to use for the visualization. This scene should show you using your new capability to attain some desirable achievement. The more details and intense feelings you can think of the better. You probably should write the scene down on a piece of paper so you can study and remember it.

Example scene showing you as assertive:

You are discussing a business problem with your co-workers. There is one person who always tries to hog the conversation and impose his opinions on everyone else. As he drones on incessantly, you interrupt him to calmly express your own opinions. He disagrees with you, but you back up your assertions with indisputable facts. He slowly gives in. Most of your co-workers smile at you to show their appreciation.

Doing the visualization:

Close your eyes and go into the visualization.See the actions, feel the emotions. Let yourself laugh or smile if appropriate.

Continue with this visualization for several minutes.

Repeat this visualization three times a day for two weeks. Then use it once a day until the idea of having this new capability feels normal.

You can change your attitude about life by implanting empowering beliefs using visualizations. Try it. You might like the results.

Ways to Empower Your Life

You may have noticed the growing income disparity between the super rich, the rich, and the middle class in the United States. Also, it has become apparent that getting a college education is no longer a guarantee of earning a good living. It seems the usual aids to advancement no longer exist for ordinary people. So you may wonder what you can do to improve your life. This posting provides one answer.

The key factors to success

I believe there are two kinds of factors that determine a person’s ability to be successful in life. These are key factors and common factors.

Most of the key factors (summarized below) were contained in the magical revelations I received from the universe. I developed the other key factors while discovering how to use my subconscious mind to solve problems. These key factors allow an ordinary person to change their outlook on life and develop the personal powers needed to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.

The common factors are the ones described in most success and self-help books, courses, and seminars. These common factors are such things as ambition, hard work, mastermind groups, persistence, setting meaningful goals, and so on. These common factors can be very useful in improving your life. However, I believe you first need to apply the key factors to get the most benefit from these common factors.

Here are the key factors:

  • The beliefs hidden away in your subconscious mind greatly influence your results in life.
  • These beliefs may not reflect your current abilities or true desires.
  • Empowering beliefs encourage you to become successful.
  • Limiting beliefs discourage you from becoming successful.
  • You can overcome the harmful effect of limiting beliefs by implanting empowering beliefs into your subconscious mind.
  • You are personally responsible for your own success or failure in life. Don’t let other people or adverse circumstances defeat you. Take charge of your own life.
  • You can use your subconscious mind to solve problems, make decisions, and improve your work.
  • You can use your subconscious mind to give you special powers.
  • Your subconscious mind, properly trained, can become your best friend.

How people can become empowered

I believe that people become empowered by experiencing special circumstances that will lead them to seek out and achieve meaningful challenges or goals. Here is my list of special circumstances:

  • They may have been raised by a rich family that provided them with an exclusive education, contacts with people in similar circumstances, and a strong feeling of entitlement.
  • They may have been raised in a supportive family that gave them ambition and self-confidence.
  • They may have been placed in a position of power, which forced them to overcome various challenges.
  • They may have survived a life-threatening situation, which made them realize their innate powers.
  • At some time in their lives, they may have had a driving ambition to achieve a difficult goal.
  • At some point in their lives, they may have been encouraged by a friend, colleague, or mentor to begin improving their life.

I believe that all of the above circumstances and the subsequent successes can instill empowering beliefs into a person’s subconscious mind. I also believe that successful people may not be aware of these empowering beliefs hidden away in their subconscious minds.

Finally, I believe that the direct method of implanting empowering beliefs into the subconscious mind may be the best way for ordinary people to improve their lives.

How I empowered my life

When I was approaching retirement age, I was worried about my future. I had spent most of my adult life stuck in a lackluster career in public accounting. I had gradually lost most of my ambition, energy, and self-confidence. Most people would say that I was just lazy. I recall one Christmas gift from the office when they gave me an alarm clock. It was a well-deserved gift because I often was late coming in to work.

Toward the end of my career, I became convinced that the US would be facing hard times because of the growing public debt. This belief led me to start work on a website to help people during the hard times I expected. However, I kept running into roadblocks and going around in circles. It appeared that I lacked the energy and writing skills needed to complete this project.

Because of receiving two previous gifts, I asked the universe for help. It took about a year for the revelations to arrive and for me to understand them. However, even after receiving these magical revelations, I failed to put them into action. It seemed I was doomed to live out a dreary and unproductive retirement. Then I received a third gift from the universe – a surge of energy that came to me one morning. This led me to redouble my work on the website, and to start testing and using the insights from the magical revelations.

I created a visualization to give myself a burst of energy whenever I needed it. Also, I implanted empowering beliefs into my subconscious mind. These methods turned my life around and allowed me to complete my website. Later on, I was able to write several self-help ebooks. It was thrilling to experience my new abilities.

So I ask you, if a person as lazy and pitiful as I was could improve his life, could you do the same? I believe you could. However, you would have to have an open mind and a strong desire to improve your life. Of course, I can’t offer any guarantees of success. All I can offer are the insights and methods I developed while training and empowering my subconscious mind.

Taking the next steps

As a first step, you can decide to try empowering your own life. As the next step, you might want to try starting a sideline business. For further information about taking these steps, you can study the resources below:

  • Review the other postings to this blog and read those articles that appeal to you.
  • Review the contents of my website and read those subjects that interest you. Go to the above My Website page.
  • Review the descriptions of my low-cost ebooks and purchase any that might help you. Go to the above My Kindle Books page.

During these hard times, I believe that you will have to rely mostly on yourself, your family, your neighbors, and your friends. You may want to form a support group with people  you can trust in emergencies.

This posting can help you take the required actions. However, there is no guarantee that my information will lead to success. You have to accept responsibility for your own success or failure in life.

Opportunities for a Quick Fix

Many people want a quick fix for their problems or lack of success. However, a quick fix can prove to be elusive or even dangerous. The desire for instant gratification leads many people to disaster. They become ready victims for con artists and other problems.

This posting describes those limited areas that can have a quick fix. In addition, it shows how to start enjoying your life before you achieve the level of success that you want.

Areas available for a quick fix

Let us assume that you want to start your own small business to achieve financial success. There are certain ways that you can speed up this process and overcome common obstacles. These specific areas can have a quick fix. However, you must be careful and understands the limitations of the methods used to achieve a quick fix. Following are some of these methods:

Using bootstrap methods – You usually need at least a small amount of money or other resources to start a small business. However, you can use various bootstrap methods to minimize or eliminate the amount of money or other resources needed. Here are some examples:

  • Don’t pay someone else to perform a task. Learn how to do the work yourself.
  • Don’t purchase new equipment needed for a job. Instead, borrow or rent the equipment.
  • When first starting out, don’t purchase the materials needed for a job. Instead, have the customer purchase the materials.

Using empowering beliefs – A common obstacle to achieving success is the presence of limiting beliefs in your subconscious mind. These limiting beliefs can keep you from trying to start your own small business. Examples of limiting beliefs are the warnings you receive when you are growing up:

  • Don’t try to be something that you’re not
  • Don’t rock the boat
  • You will never amount to much

You can overcome these limiting beliefs by implanting empowering beliefs into your subconscious mind. Here are some examples of empowering beliefs:

  • I control my own destiny
  • I am ambitious and hard working
  • I am successful at whatever I do

These empowering beliefs allow you to take action to improve your life.

Start enjoying your life immediately

If you are unhappy with your present situation in life, you can develop the habit of enjoying life just as you are. You see, you can decide every day whether you are going to be happy or unhappy. As you keep making the choice of enjoying your life just as you are, this decision becomes a habit.

As part of this decision, find ways to enjoy those things that you already have. You can go on walks, talk to your friends and family, help your children learn about life, and remember those good times you have experienced.

Developing your abilities and resources

After you have eliminated obstacles to taking action, you can start enhancing your abilities and resources. Perhaps you should discover your natural talents and true desires. Then you can choose goals to exploit these talents and achieve these desires. This will allow you to enjoy the journey and not just the destination.

Then you won’t need a quick fix to attain the desired destination. The journey itself becomes part of achieving a better life.

Setting incremental goals

Depending on what kind of success you want to attain, the best method is to start with easily attainable goals. As you achieve these early goals and thereby enhance your abilities and resources, you can try for more empowering goals. Each new success builds on the previous successes.

Eventually, you may be able to attain the level of success that you desire. On the other hand, you may choose to stay at a certain level of success and enjoy your life as it is.

You don’t need to be in a hurry to get what you want out of life. Enjoy what you already have. Focus on your natural talents and true desires. Most important, avoid any con artist who promises you the moon.

As always, you can use my information resources to help you achieve success.

How to Achieve Success

If you want to achieve success in life, this post may help you. My definition of success is setting and attaining meaningful goals. By meaningful goals, I mean activities and events that benefit you and other people.

Following are common obstacles to success and ways to overcome them.

Lack of desire for improvement

When you were a child, it was common for your parents and other adults to warn you about possible dangers. These repeated warnings may still reside within your subconscious mind as limiting beliefs. These limiting (false) beliefs may prevent you from taking action to improve your life. They may even prevent you from wanting to improve your life.

To overcome this obstacle, you may need to implant empowering beliefs into your subconscious mind. For example, you need to believe that you are entitled to a better life and that you are capable of achieving it.

Lack of meaningful goals

The next obstacle is not knowing what to do with your life. You may not enjoy your present circumstances. However, you may not know what alternatives are available. Perhaps you should discover your natural talents and true desires. Then you can use goals to create a future that uses your natural talents and satisfies your true desires.

If we encounter the hard times that I am expecting, many people will need inexpensive ways to survive. Perhaps you could supply some of these needs. The basic needs are clothing, food, housing, employment, medical care, entertainment, and so on.

Lack of research and planning

After choosing a suitable and attainable goal, you may want to research the best ways to achieve this goal. You need to find out what abilities and resources are needed. You need to find out the best way to accomplish the goal.

Then you can plan how to acquire these abilities and resources. In addition, you can plan the action steps needed to accomplish the goal.

Lack of abilities and resources

In this step, you should acquire any needed abilities and/or resources. (Note: When setting your first few goals, they should require only those abilities and resources that you already have or can easily obtain.)

You acquire abilities by first getting any needed information. Then you use trial and error to accomplish various tasks.

You acquire any needed cash or other resources by first eliminating any unnecessary personal expenses. Then you could use various bootstrap methods to acquire resources. You also could get a loan, get a silent partner, or do some jobs on the side to raise money.

Lack of decisive actions

At this stage, you are ready to use decisive actions to achieve your goals. You already should have planned the needed action steps. Now you should follow your plan and take the needed actions, step-by-step. You may require an action trigger on occasion to keep working. You might want to use time-saving tips. In addition, you should monitor the results you are achieving toward your goal

Failure to face and overcome problems

When striving toward a worthwhile goal, you are likely to encounter problems. Most problems won’t go away by themselves. You should face any problems, accept personal responsibility for your success or failure, and do whatever it takes to solve the problems.

You may have to do some additional research to find out how other people have solved the same type of problems.

Not achieving the desired results

After you have accomplished your goal, you should verify that the results would help you to a better life. Most goals have two desirable results. First, they should increase your abilities and resources. Second, they should improve the quality of your life.

If your goal has not given you the desired results, you have two possibilities. One option is to go back and do what is needed to give you the desired results. The other option is to accept the results. However, you then should use these inadequate results to plan better goals in the future.

I hope this brief roadmap will help you achieve the kind of success you want. As always, you can study the other information resources that I provide.

Conquering the Roadblocks to Success

This posting identifies four types of roadblocks to success and shows how to conquer them.

Limiting beliefs

This blocking force has been discussed many times in this blog. The main problem with this roadblock is that people aren’t aware of their limiting beliefs and so they don’t take steps to eliminate them.

An easy way to determine if you have limiting beliefs is to study your situation in life. If you aren’t happy with your present situation but aren’t making any effort to improve things, you probably are burdened with limiting beliefs. This is especially the case if you don’t believe that you are entitled to have a better life.

The way to solve this problem is to implant empowering beliefs into your subconscious mind. You need to look at the goals you want to accomplish and decide what abilities or attitudes you will need to achieve these goals.

The final step is to implant these empowering beliefs into your subconscious mind. You can go to this chapter in my website to review three simple ways of gaining new beliefs.

Failure to face and solve problems

The main reason that people don’t face their problems is that they don’t know how to solve them. I have used two methods to solve my own problems.

One method is to research the Internet or other sources of information to see how other people have solved the same type of problem. If you have access to the Internet, it is the easiest way to search for solutions to the type of problem that you have. You can use the following search term: how do I [describe your goal or problem]? Examples:

  • how do I start a small business?
  • how do I fix a plumbing problem?

Another method is to train your subconscious mind to help you solve problems. This method was described in my Yes, I Can !! posting. Your subconscious mind has access to an immense storehouse of information. It should be able to help you solve many types of problems.

Failure to take action

Unless you start taking action to get what you want, you will never achieve your objective. You learn new abilities by trial and error. You should expect to make mistakes. As you find out what doesn’t work, you are getting closer to what does work. You can shorten the learning curve by using the same kind of research as used to conquer the above roadblock.

However, the key to overcoming this roadblock is simply to start taking action. Of course, you want to avoid dangerous situations. In addition, you want to start with goals that are easy to achieve. As you gain more experience, you can try to achieve larger goals. Each success at one level paves the way for success at a higher level.

Other common obstacles

There are other common obstacles, such as a habit of procrastination or lack of needed skills. These common obstacles and the methods that can be used to overcome them are discussed in the Overcoming Roadblocks to Action posting.

Now that you know how to eliminate these roadblocks to success, the next step is to decide what you want to accomplish with your life. Then you can start choosing and achieving meaningful goals. Your destiny awaits you, my friend. Good luck with your search for your heart’s desire.

Receiving My Revelations

Many of my posts to this blog are based on the insights and methods derived from the magical revelations I received from the universe. This post explains how I came to receive these revelations. You may wonder why I was chosen to receive these revelations. I certainly didn’t do anything to deserve them, except to ask for help. It is my contention that if these revelations could help such a lazy and dispirited person as me, they should be able to help almost anyone.

Previous gifts from the universe

While I was working in the public accounting profession, I received two magical gifts from the universe. One of the gifts was an overwhelming surge of self-confidence before an important meeting with the boss and some clients. The other gift was an overpowering feeling of love toward a stranger when I was buying paint at Lowe’s home improvement store.

Asking for help

As my retirement date was approaching, I became worried about my future. I had achieves only moderate success in my public accounting career. The main problem was that I had become quite lazy! All of my ambition, energy, and self-confidence had slowly dissipated over the years. I needed to regain these abilities and attitudes somehow. Then I could fulfill my goals for retirement–to help people and exploit my natural talents. Over the years, I had read various self-help books, but they never gave me the underlying facts I needed to accept them. Their primary message of using hard work to achieve success did not jibe with my laziness.

Looking back on my past life, I recalled the two magical gifts I had received. Therefore, I decided to ask the universe for help.

Receiving the revelations

It took about a year for me to receive and understand the revelations. Here they are, expressed as a guide for my readers:

  1. You are personally responsible for the successes and failures that you experience. You have the ability to improve things by taking charge of your life and assuming responsibility for your destiny.
  2. Your subconscious mind uses the controlling beliefs that are hidden away inside it to help interpret your apparent situation in life and the resulting possibilities.
  3. Beliefs are not the same as reality. The controlling beliefs in your subconscious mind may not reflect your actual situation in life and the resulting possibilities.
  4. When empowering beliefs control your subconscious mind, you are encouraged to seek and achieve success in life.
  5. When limiting beliefs control your subconscious mind, you are discouraged from seeking and achieving success in life.
  6. You can implant empowering beliefs into your subconscious mind to reduce the adverse effects of any limiting beliefs that are present.

My early reactions

I was disappointed in the first revelation that I received. I had developed a habit of blaming someone or someone else for my problems. This first revelation took away that crutch. Besides, it didn’t provide any details on how to solve my problems or improve my life.

The subsequent revelations explained the source of my problems. It seems that the beliefs that controlled my subconscious mind were mainly responsible for the success or failure that I experienced in life. If I was dissatisfied with my results in life, it probably meant that my subconscious mind was being controlled by limiting beliefs. The revelations explained that the solution to this problem was to implant empowering beliefs into my subconscious mind.

After receiving and understanding the big picture, I was able to start taking action.

Testing the revelations

I had been working on a website to help people survive the coming hard times. However, I was making a mess of things. I really didn’t know how to structure this website or what information to put into it. I kept making changes and going around in circles. It appeared that this project was beyond my abilities. However, after using the insights from these magical revelations, I became empowered and was able build a useful website. In addition, I published an ebook that explained these revelations and their insights. This ebook included the methods I developed to put these revelations and insights into action. During this time, I seemed to be a different person. It was an exciting experience for me.

I am no one special; in fact, I am less than special. Therefore, if I can improve my life using these insights and methods anyone should be able to do the same. You can study the previous posts in this blog that explain how to use the revelations. You also may want to purchase the low-cost ebook Magic Success Secrets that is shown in the My Kindle Books page.

Secrets of the Subconscious Mind

If only I could get it done. If only…

Your subconscious mind, if used wisely, is the most important factor in your success or failure in life. This post will explain why this is true. Also, it will describe the basic functioning of the subconscious mind and its effect on your actions and expectations in life.

Your two minds

You have two minds, the conscious and the subconscious. Each has its own functions.

The conscious mind is your gateway to the outside world as revealed by your various senses and the conscious control of your body. The conscious mind operates in a sequential manner, doing one thing at a time. For example, if your conscious mind becomes deeply engrossed in your thoughts while driving, you may be surprised to arrive at your old place of work. You see, your subconscious mind had to assume control of your driving. And the habit of driving to your old place of work was stronger than the habit of driving to your new place of work.

The subconscious mind operates in the background, performing many activities all at the same time. It receives the input from your senses, interprets this input, and feeds it to your conscious mind. Thus, when you open your eyes in the morning, you ‘see’ your surroundings with no apparent effort on your part. However, your subconscious mind had to undergo a massive amount of effort before it could send its interpretation of your surroundings to the conscious mind.

Powers of the subconscious

Imagine yourself sitting in a darkened room and each hand holds a bundle of wires coming from the optic sensors at the back of your eyeballs. Each tiny wire provides you with the electrical signals from an individual optic cell.

First, you have to determine the various colors and shapes that these signals represent. Then you have to dig into your vast memory of experiences to identify what images these colors and shapes represent. You also have to bring forth any actions or emotions associated with these images. In order to accomplish this magical feat, millions of brain cells in the optical region of your brain (subconscious mind) are all working at the same time.

Then you have to describe this scene to your conscious mind. What an impossible task this must be! This is only one of the many tasks your subconscious mind has to accomplish, all at the same time.

How your beliefs affect your results in life

Now let’s get to the heart of how your subconscious mind controls your actions and possibilities in life.

Your subconscious mind uses the beliefs and other information stored in it to interpret your surroundings and the resulting dangers and possibilities. Thus, when you encounter a certain situation, your subconscious usually knows the available responses to this situation. It also knows the likely result from choosing one of these options. In addition, it knows from your past feelings about these responses whether they are favorable or unfavorable. Thus, your subconscious mind acts like a guardian to a child. It acts to interpret your surroundings, keep you out of trouble, and limit your likely responses.

One of the most important facts to understand is that all this important work by your subconscious mind is going on without the knowledge of your conscious mind. What to you seems so effortless requires massive effort by your subconscious mind. All this work has to be hidden from your conscious mind or it (you) would be overwhelmed and unable to function.

The downside of this separation from your subconscious mind is that you probably don’t realize the nature of your hidden beliefs and their affect on your actions and expectations. If your subconscious mind is guided mostly by empowering beliefs, no problem. However, if limiting beliefs control your life, you have a big problem.

Harmful effects of limiting beliefs

Limiting beliefs restrict your actions and possibilities in life. These limiting beliefs were developed during your childhood when they protected you. However, as you grow into adulthood your past feelings (your beliefs as to how to respond to life) may no longer reflect your current abilities and possibilities. What may have posed a danger to you as a child may not harm you as an adult. You may wonder, doesn’t your subconscious mind realize that things have changed? No, not necessarily. All it knows is what events and circumstances you have experienced, and your feelings about these events and circumstances. As far as your subconscious mind knows, your feelings (your beliefs) are all that matters. For example, if you have been afraid to speak in front of groups (because you might be ridiculed), that is your reality until you decide to change it. You change it either by taking action (joining a Toast Masters group), or by implanting new beliefs into your subconscious mind and then acting on them.

Here is the payoff. If you want to improve your life, you may have to overcome any limiting beliefs that are blocking your efforts. You can implant empowering beliefs into your subconscious mind to overcome the adverse influence of limiting beliefs. Then you will be free to pursue your new possibilities as an adult.

How to Improve Your Life

Are you worried about your future? The answer to your problems is to take some appropriate actions to make things better. However, I don’t recommend that you make some rash decision. Instead, take the time to decide what you want from life. Then start doing something about it.

Possible steps to improving your life:

  • Decide what you want from life and set meaningful goals to achieve the desired results.
  • Overcome any blocking forces that are keeping you from trying to improve your life.
  • Plan the action steps needed to achieve your current goal, take decisive action, and monitor your results.
  • Resolve any problems you encounter.
  • Review the end results and make any needed corrections.

Taking the first steps

How do you decide what you want from life? I suggest that you consider your natural talents and/or your true desires. What activities give you the most pleasure? Have you spent any time daydreaming about what you might want to do in life? What hobbies do you have? How do you spend your time when you can do whatever you want? These questions might help you decide on your goals for life. These goals should be both achievable and desirable.

Overcoming any roadblocks

You may have to overcome some blocking forces before trying for your goals. Perhaps you have acquired certain limiting beliefs in life. When you were a child, your parents or others may have warned you against doing things that might get you into trouble. Maybe they didn’t want you to be disappointed or ridiculed. Now you may want to try for things that are slightly beyond your current abilities. First, you may want to implant empowering beliefs into your subconscious mind

You can go to this chapter in my website to review three simple methods for implanting new beliefs into your subconscious mind. These empowering beliefs will help you overcome the blocking forces that may keep you from trying for a better life.

Planning your action steps

The next step is to plan how to achieve your current goal. You may have to do some research to see how other people have achieved similar goals. You can learn from the trials and errors of other people. People who have achieved success were not always successful. Find out how they were able to overcome their problems. This will let you plan the action steps needed to achieve your goal in the most efficient manner. Then start taking action. Monitor your results to detect any errors that may occur.

Resolve any problems

Don’t ignore any problems you encounter. The sooner you face any problems and fix them the easier it will be to achieve your goal. You may want to do more research to find out how other people overcame the same kind of problems. As you face problems and overcome them, you are gaining valuable experience. This experience will help you achieve goals that are more difficult.

Review your results

After you have achieved your current goal, take time to review the end results. Are you satisfied with the results? If not, what did you fail to achieve? See if you can take corrective action to achieve the desired results. Normally you want to achieve at least two things from a goal. First, you want the desired end results. Second, you want to have additional benefits — increased abilities, more confidence, and valuable experience.

Achieving success

This method should help you overcome your worries and improve your life. If you don’t achieve success at first, go back and try again.

My First Message

are you alone?

Do you seem to be all alone in this world? If you feel trapped in your present circumstances, don’t despair. This blog, and the other resources described below, can expand your possibilities. You can start by making small improvements. Then as your abilities, confidence, and resources increase, you can raise your sights. Eventually, you may be able to start living your dreams.

My philosophy about life

This opening message to my blog describes my philosophy on how to improve your life. This philosophy is based on my own experiences of how I began achieving my dreams for my retirement years. This was a result of receiving and validating a series of revelations from the universe. One of the central revelations I received was that reality and beliefs are not the same. I’m not talking about the big reality of how the universe was made or the purpose of human life. I’m talking about the personal reality of what is desirable and possible for you to accomplish in life.

Your beliefs determine your success in life

Your success in life may be hindered by various limiting beliefs that you acquired over your life. You see, your subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between reality and strongly held beliefs. If your current beliefs do not reflect your true desires, natural talents, and actual possibilities—you probably are not going to have an enjoyable life. This is a situation where limiting beliefs are in control of your subconscious mind.

How do you know if you have limiting beliefs? After all, your beliefs are kept locked away in your subconscious mind. You may not even be aware of your current beliefs. Yet these beliefs to a great degree control what you experience and accomplish in life. They have manifested your current situation in life. Look around you. If you are not happy with what you see, you probably have limiting beliefs. The solution to this problem is to replace your limiting beliefs with empowering beliefs. There are various techniques you can use to implant new beliefs into your subconscious mind. Go to this chapter in my website to review three simple methods.

Quite often, when people are dissatisfied with their current circumstances in life they may believe that more money will solve all their problems. However, it is common to read about movie stars, professional athletes, business executives, etc. who have lots of money and yet are unhappy in life. So I say forget about money for now. Instead, concentrate on replacing your limiting beliefs with empowering beliefs. Then you can devote your life to achieving your true desires and using your natural talents. Moreover, I believe this will make you much happier in life.
