Opportunities for a Quick Fix

Many people want a quick fix for their problems or lack of success. However, a quick fix can prove to be elusive or even dangerous. The desire for instant gratification leads many people to disaster. They become ready victims for con artists and other problems.

This posting describes those limited areas that can have a quick fix. In addition, it shows how to start enjoying your life before you achieve the level of success that you want.

Areas available for a quick fix

Let us assume that you want to start your own small business to achieve financial success. There are certain ways that you can speed up this process and overcome common obstacles. These specific areas can have a quick fix. However, you must be careful and understands the limitations of the methods used to achieve a quick fix. Following are some of these methods:

Using bootstrap methods – You usually need at least a small amount of money or other resources to start a small business. However, you can use various bootstrap methods to minimize or eliminate the amount of money or other resources needed. Here are some examples:

  • Don’t pay someone else to perform a task. Learn how to do the work yourself.
  • Don’t purchase new equipment needed for a job. Instead, borrow or rent the equipment.
  • When first starting out, don’t purchase the materials needed for a job. Instead, have the customer purchase the materials.

Using empowering beliefs – A common obstacle to achieving success is the presence of limiting beliefs in your subconscious mind. These limiting beliefs can keep you from trying to start your own small business. Examples of limiting beliefs are the warnings you receive when you are growing up:

  • Don’t try to be something that you’re not
  • Don’t rock the boat
  • You will never amount to much

You can overcome these limiting beliefs by implanting empowering beliefs into your subconscious mind. Here are some examples of empowering beliefs:

  • I control my own destiny
  • I am ambitious and hard working
  • I am successful at whatever I do

These empowering beliefs allow you to take action to improve your life.

Start enjoying your life immediately

If you are unhappy with your present situation in life, you can develop the habit of enjoying life just as you are. You see, you can decide every day whether you are going to be happy or unhappy. As you keep making the choice of enjoying your life just as you are, this decision becomes a habit.

As part of this decision, find ways to enjoy those things that you already have. You can go on walks, talk to your friends and family, help your children learn about life, and remember those good times you have experienced.

Developing your abilities and resources

After you have eliminated obstacles to taking action, you can start enhancing your abilities and resources. Perhaps you should discover your natural talents and true desires. Then you can choose goals to exploit these talents and achieve these desires. This will allow you to enjoy the journey and not just the destination.

Then you won’t need a quick fix to attain the desired destination. The journey itself becomes part of achieving a better life.

Setting incremental goals

Depending on what kind of success you want to attain, the best method is to start with easily attainable goals. As you achieve these early goals and thereby enhance your abilities and resources, you can try for more empowering goals. Each new success builds on the previous successes.

Eventually, you may be able to attain the level of success that you desire. On the other hand, you may choose to stay at a certain level of success and enjoy your life as it is.

You don’t need to be in a hurry to get what you want out of life. Enjoy what you already have. Focus on your natural talents and true desires. Most important, avoid any con artist who promises you the moon.

As always, you can use my information resources to help you achieve success.

Success Mystery Solved

Don’t just stand there, looking dejected. Take action now to join the circle of success!

How to join the circle of success

Have you been trying to join the circle of success, yet still remain outside of it? This article explains why some people cannot improve their life even after repeatedly using one or more of the popular self-improvement methods.

This article is not meant to criticize the various success methods that are popular with the public. Instead, this article merely seeks to explain why some people, even after much effort in using these methods, are unable to improve their life. The following insights and methods result from revelations I have received, and my personal experiences in training my own subconscious mind.

Since I am not a famous success guru, you may not believe me. That is perfectly natural. I merely suggest that if everything else has failed, you may want to try my insights and methods.

Why popular success methods may not help you

I believe that popular self-improvement methods may not work for you because they tend to sugarcoat the facts. They may not want to reveal the painful truth. Success promoters want to be popular. That is how they can make money and try to help people solve their problems. I am different. I don’t especially want to be popular and I don’t care about getting rich. Therefore, I am willing to explain what may be causing your failures in life, even if these concepts expose me to ridicule.

It is not easy to become successful. It takes time and effort. But I believe that anyone can improve their life if they are willing to try.

The painful truth

Warning — the truth may only be fit for the bold and the brave. For others, it may be too painful to know.

Your disappointments in adult life may be due to the limiting (false) beliefs you have accumulated over your life. These beliefs were meant to limit your exposure to danger when you were a child. However, since these limiting beliefs are hidden away in your subconscious mind, you may not even be aware of them.

Okay, right about now you may want to kick me! Why do I say that you may harbor limiting beliefs? I say this because I want to help you. Because I know that my own subconscious mind is littered with limiting (false) beliefs. Besides, I know from my own experience that these limiting beliefs can be overridden by implanting empowering beliefs into your subconscious mind.

How the subconscious mind guides your life

The subconscious mind performs the following functions:

  • It controls the various internal functions of your body, such as your digestive system.
  • It allows you to be aware of your surroundings by interpreting your five senses.
  • It assumes control over your physical actions when needed, such as when you are driving and are lost in thought.
  • It stores all your attitudes, beliefs, experiences, habits, knowledge, rules of thumb, and skills in its memory.
  • It uses these stored attitudes, beliefs, experiences, habits, knowledge, rules of thumb, and skills to interpret the meaning of the events in your life.
  • It determines your automatic reactions to the events in your life.
  • It largely determines what you can achieve, or even desire, in life.

It requires massive activities for the subconscious mind to perform the above functions. These activities have to be concealed from your conscious mind, or it would be overwhelmed. As a consequence, you are unable to examine the beliefs that your subconscious mind uses to guide your adult life. Beliefs that were useful to guide your life as a child may be too limiting to guide your life as an adult. Yet, you may not be aware of this problem.

The solution to this problem is to first determine if limiting beliefs are in control of your subconscious mind. If so, you need to replace them with empowering beliefs. Look around at your surroundings and your status in life. If they disappoint you, it probably is due to your limiting beliefs. In this case, you need to replace your limiting beliefs with empowering beliefs.

How to overcome the harmful effects of your limiting beliefs

You have to implant empowering beliefs into your subconscious mind to override the harmful effect of your limiting beliefs. Following are the two methods that have helped me improve myself and achieve my goals for retirement.

1. Affirmations — Here are some examples of empowering beliefs you can implant into your subconscious mind using affirmations:

  • I am confident and forceful.
  • I enjoy completing a difficult project.
  • I am a take-charge person.
  • I believe in myself.

An affirmation is one or more phrases, such as the four above. Notice that each phrase shows you with this ability or attitude now, not at some time in the future. Say these phrases out loud with emphasis and strong emotion. Repeat these phrases several times each session. Perform each session two or three times a day.

2. Visualizations — These are guided daydreams. First, you would construct a scene for this daydream. Write it down so you can memorize it. It should show you actively using whatever attitudes or beliefs you want to implant into your subconscious mind. During this daydream, you also want to feel strong emotions of joy about having these new abilities. This visualization should show you having these abilities now, not sometime in the future.

Now, perform the visualization. Close your eyes, see the scene play out in your mind, and feel the strong emotions of joy. Repeat this visualization two or three times a day for several weeks. By this time, you should begin to actually display these new abilities.

Following through with action

After gaining these empowering abilities and attitudes, you should follow through with some appropriate action, such as choosing and completing a meaningful goal. Start with easy goals at first. Then you can gradually add more empowering beliefs and choose more difficult goals. This is how you achieve success in life.

Regardless of circumstances, your subconscious mind is always available to help you. It contains a vast storehouse of knowledge. Good luck in your quest for a better life.

Using my ‘Money Magic’ Concept

This post describes my Money Magic concept. This concept brings together two powerful resources I have developed.

The money part refers to a great idea for making money. This part is provided by my free website,

The magic part refers to the personal powers that are needed to exploit the money making idea. This part is provided by my low-cost ebook, Magic Success Secrets.

Why businesses fail

It is my contention that the failure of so many small business firms in the first few years has a simple explanation. The owner may not have a business idea that can satisfy the market demand. In addition, the owner may lack the personal powers needed to face and overcome common business problems. It is my hope that my Money Magic concept and resources can help people succeed with their own small business.

How businesses can succeed

Regardless of economic conditions, people still want their needs and desires satisfied. Of course, the amount they are able to pay may be lower than normal. The product (information, merchandise, or service) must deliver real value. That is, it must satisfy the needs and desires of available customers at a price they can afford. This is my definition of a quality product.

Delivering a quality product

I am constantly amazed at how often business managers, even of large well-known firms, seem not to care about the quality of their products. They have a choice of how to use the resources that are available to them. They can use them to produce quality products. Else, they can use them to bribe and coerce their way to market domination. The first choice is the better way to go, and it is available to anyone.

If you are able to deliver a quality product, you have a chance at a successful business. If the required business activities use your own talents and fulfill your own desires, then your chances of success are even better.

Overcoming the Reality Illusion

There could be a rainbow in your future showing the way to a better life. First though, you may have to overcome the reality illusion. This is the illusion that misrepresents what you can achieve in life. I call this an illusion because it is based on beliefs rather than reality. It is based on opinions rather than facts.

Source of the reality illusion

The reality illusion is present when the beliefs used by your subconscious mind to interpret reality do not reflect your true abilities, desires, and possibilities. You may have unknowingly acquired limiting beliefs early in life. When you were growing up you needed these limiting beliefs to protect yourself from possible dangers. These limiting beliefs are hidden away in your subconscious mind. They are not readily available to your conscious mind. About the only way to discover if you have these limiting beliefs is to review your accomplishments in life. If you are dissatisfied with your surroundings, you probably are being held back by limiting beliefs.

Overcoming the reality illusion

Most of my previous posts explain various ways to overcome the reality illusion. Each post, in its own way, demonstrates how to overcome the reality illusion and/or override your limiting beliefs. Each paragraph below has a link to the actual post, along with a short summary of the topics and/or methods discussed in that post. This lets you choose any post you want to explore.

How to improve your life – Shows the five steps for attaining a goal or accomplishing a difficult task. Provides valuable insights about the various steps.

Secrets of the subconscious mind – Reveals the difference between the conscious mind and the subconscious mind. Explains why the beliefs held in your subconscious mind are not readily available to your conscious mind.

Getting what you want from life – Talks about deciding to take charge of your life and deciding what you want from life. Shows how to overcome the artificial barriers to taking charge of your life. Explains how to discover your natural talents and true desires.

Using goals to guide your life – Explains the benefits of goals, how to choose meaningful goals, and how to achieve your goals. Provides two powerful methods to assist you in achieving your goals. One method uses deadlines and mileposts to encourage and track your progress. Another method uses visualizations to empower your subconscious mind.

Getting What You Want From Life

Image courtesy of Salvatore Vuono /

The bull’s-eye above reminds you to choose a target if you want to improve your life. The target is what you want out of life. This post assumes that you want to improve your life but may not know how to get started on that journey.

This post is divided into two parts. The first part is deciding to take charge of your life. The second part is deciding what you want out of life. These two things may seem to be obvious to you. However, I believe that if you do not get these two things right then your hope for improving your life is doomed to failure. Read this post and tell me if I’m wrong.

Deciding to take charge of your life

This may seem to be such stupid thing to be concerned about. After all, doesn’t every adult control their own life? I maintain that this is not always true. There may be a number of unconscious barriers to living your life the way you want.

You may have to overcome some artificial barriers before you feel free to make this decision. Following are some common barriers, along with reasons why they should not stop you from seeking a better life.

You may feel trapped and unable to do anything to improve your life.

Don’t try to make major changes overnight. Start by making small improvements and by increasing your personal power. Then as you develop experience and self-confidence, you’ll be able to make additional improvements.

You may consider yourself unworthy of having a happy life.

Okay, so you’re unworthy. However, many people could use your help. So stop feeling sorry for yourself and start helping them. (Of course, this will require that you take charge of your own life.)

You may feel that obligations to family or other people should take precedence over your own happiness.

You don’t need to forsake your obligations. In fact, you’ll be better able to satisfy these obligations by increasing your capabilities and gaining more control over your own life.

I hope that you now can decide about your future without being hindered by any artificial barriers. The choice of what to do with your life is entirely up to you. Naturally, I hope you will opt for a better life.

Deciding what you want from life

Now that you have overcome the first hurdle in improving your life, what next? Well, now you have to decide what you want from this improved life. Here are some ideas that may help you.

Many people seem to get the most enjoyment and satisfaction from life while fulfilling their true desires and using their natural talents. However, your true desires and natural talents may be buried under layers of social conditioning. I have developed some methods that may help you discover the real you. This involves making a list of those accomplishments and activities that brought joy to your life

Your achievements—what have you accomplished in your past life that made you very proud?

Your emotional highs—what activities in your past life have you enjoyed the most?

Pretend you are having a lucid dream—describe what you would do and why you would do that. (While having a lucid dream, you can do anything you want without regard for the laws of man or nature. You can be anybody or do anything. You can fly like Superman, travel to another planet, go back in time, or even go forward into the unknown future.)

Pretend you are by yourself for a month—how would you spend this time?

Now go over the notes from these four exercises. Don’t be concerned if the results seem silly or unrealistic. This is simply a way to reveal your true desires and natural talents. Future posts will show you how to use this information to improve your life.
